Carol Wolcott, PA-C, is a physician assistant who joined Summit Orthopedic Specialists in 2017 after practicing in Southern California. At Summit, Carol provides general orthopedic care to adults and children.
Carol earned two bachelor’s degrees from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, Calif. After graduation, she began her career in Orange County as a physician assistant in an urgent care practice before moving to an orthopedic practice.
With a deep understanding of sports medicine and general orthopedic conditions, Carol sees patients in the clinic and assists in surgery. She has experience in splinting and casting, closed fracture reductions, joint injections, common orthopedic surgery operating room techniques, and post-operative patient follow up care.
Carol started her career after college working on the business side of an orthopedic group that managed several outpatient surgery centers. During this time, she discovered her love of working with patients and surgeons, and decided to go back to school to become a physician assistant. Carol strongly believes that the foundation of happiness begins with health. To that end, she gives each patient her full attention to answer their questions thoroughly and ensure they have a positive experience.
Carol is a member of the California Association of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She has been involved in several community service activities such as performing high school sports physicals and pediatric vision screenings, and providing first aid for a local fun run.
Outside of work, Carol enjoys getting outdoors to hike, bike and hit the beach. She is looking forward to exploring Northern California and discovering all it has to offer.
